Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain white and black sores on the tonsils as well as
sore throat are all the results of infection caused by bacteria..
Although sore throat and sore spots on tonsils are also caused by viral infection but in case of viral infection most commonly the tonsils become red and inflamed along with symptoms of
common cold like runny and stuffy nose,
post nasal drip, at times mild fever and fatigue.
The pus filled pockets or white patches are more evident in
Streptococcus infection which is bacterial.
I would suggest you to consult a doctor to get evaluated for the exact nature of the infection by clinical examination but it seems to be more pointing towards strep infection.
In case of bacterial infection antibiotics can be taken but not in case of viral infection as antibiotics can fight against only bacteria and not virus.
In case of bacterial / strep infection antibiotics can be taken.
Few remedies can be done in case of both bacterial and viral sore throat like:
Do warm saline gargles.
Avoid taking spicy food to avoid
throat irritation.
In case of pain
Ibuprofen and
tylenol or calpol can be taken.
Hot milk with a pinch of turmeric and cinnamon at bed time for 5 days can help.
Cough lozanges can relieve irritation.
In case of symptoms of viral infection of cold and cough and chest congestion Decongestant containing Pseudoephadrine can be taken.
