Suggest Treatment For Withdrawal Symptoms Of Celebrex
My husband took Celebrex for about 12 years. low dose. He stopped taking it after weaning himself off (every other day) 3 weeks ago. The pill was not covered on his health plan (Scan). This past week he had body soreness for 1 day. Next day his pinkie finger was red & swollen when he woke up. That went away later that day. Then Thursday night his big toe on left foot all the way to instep began hurting. He couldn t sleep that night. Friday still pain, foot was swelling at times during day. Could barely walk that day. Saturday pain lessened but pain again with swelling at night. Last night he woke up drenched in sweat. Today bad pain very uncomfortable, tired. My husband has had both knees replaced as well as rotator cuff surgery and bicep detach & reattached in the past. Also he had two fractures in left foot (the one that hurts) They never figured out why he fractured that foot. Lastly he had surgery on his hand to relieve trigger finger & carpal tunnel. Any idea why he is having so much pain now? Could this be because he no longer takes Celebrex? Thank you
This is not a withdrawal problem. It has to do with the fact that Celebrex is a pain reliever and if you remove any pain reliever, then pain may return. He needs to see his doctor for advice about what sort of pain medication he may take that is on his insurance plan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
