I had a Septal Myocardial Infarction in early 2008. I also have LBBB that was found in 1986. Of what I read from the hand written report of my doctor at the time it states...septal myocardial infarction, EF 40%, LV dilator 7.0 can. I am a 57 yr old female 197 lbs. Hello, Thanks for posting your query on Healthcare Magic...
* Brief Answer: adhere to anti ischemic medications , healthy diet and regular follow up with your cardiologist.
*Explanation: My opinion is that ischemic heart disease is an important condition that needs good plan of management first of all anti ischemic medications such as antiplatelets and antihyperlipidemics are crucial. then regular follow up with a cardiologist is a must to modify your treatment and see if any new findings in patient heart condition exist. of course health diet with low salt and fat content and regular exercising do help in such conditions. avoiding stressful conditions and smoking is nonnegotiable. If any new chest pain develops or symptoms or signs of heart failure or even palpitations present then coronary angiography plus or minus stenting may be needed then.
I suggest my patients the following :new echocardiogaphy and electrocardiogram is important to reassess heart dimensions and ischemic changes if there any.
The information provided by you is not sufficient to provide a good opinion.
If someone comes to me with this condition I would ask them about height and other comorbidities present.
*Conclusion: I suggest you follow up with your cardiologist and until that happen, stick to your medications.

If you have any further questions I will be happy to help, If not, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish you good health.
