Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have spondylitis arthritis plus fibromyalgia and multiple myeloma. July 8th I had a stem cell transplant. I have severe pain from lower back and hips. My legs also have a lot of pain from my ligaments & tendons & muscles. I think I have more pain from the spondylitis arthritis then the MM. I also have a herniated disc 5L & S1. I also have factor 5 and am coming off lovanox and going on Coumadin. I take Percocet but still have pain .last Sunday I started taking Flexeral 5 mg on a regular basis and that has helped a lot. I m sure this will not be a long term solution. I need some relief to have some quality of life. With my diagnosis could I have micro surgery or what do you suggest? Kathy Zimmerman

Suggest Treatment Spondylitis Arthritis
Hi, * The management of spondylitis arthritis involve multiple parameters as - NSAID ( non steroidal anti inflammatory medications ) as diclofenac, etoricoxib or others - Assisted physiotherapy - Control of weight, cholesterol, blood sugar - Corticosteroids in case of severe flare - Infliximab ( monoclonal antibody ) - surgery in very rare instances However, if you can provide me your x-ray plates or MRI scans done in recent past, it would be of much help to proceed for the discussion. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
