Suggest Treatment To Get Back Normal Thyroid Without Taking Thyroid Medicine
i have been on pegasys and ribavirin for over a year for treatment of HCV. they now tell me my thyroid levels are elevated to 8.69 and they started me on the levothyroxin 25mcg 2 weeks ago. I have since gained weight and feel worse. I am going to be off the medications for HCV in a week and half. my question is can i repair my thyroid without having to take this thyroid medicine?
Hello, Thank you for asking on HCM! I can understand your concern! Before giving some more suggestion regarding to under active thyroid treatment i would suggest to do some more exams to make the etiologic diagnosis of hypothyroidism. -Anti TPO and antiTg antibodies will help to diagnose an autoimmune origin. If it is confirmed and you have symptoms of under active thyroid, treatment should be started. For a personalised comprehensive evaluation, treatment recommendations, or individual therapy, ask me at HealthCareMagic at this private link: HCM Dr. Guni
