Suggest Treatment To Get Rid Of Cystic Acne And Blackheads

I have cystic acne. I'm in my 50's, and have had since teenager. Dr. has me on Tazorac gel to clear blackheads on my back. I've tried Accutane, but had such severe mood swings, I took myself off it. Looking for alternative to Accutane, which is supposed to clear acne up permanently, but without mood swings. I just heard about Isotrex, and was wondering if this is Accutane like gel? Can you recommend anything?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if you have Acne it can be due to a number of causes like Oily skin, hormonal imbalances, clogged pores, bacterial infection, inflammation etc..
In case if you have side effects with Accutane that contains retinoid Isotretinoin you can take alternate treatment like Washing your face with Salicylic acid containing facewash, apply gels containing Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin, do cool compresses over the pimples.
Exfoliate your skin twice a week..
Avoid oily food, excessive sun exposure and drink plenty of water..
In case of no improvement you can consult a Dermatologist and he can advise you Oral antibiotics like Minocycline, Doxycycline or Clindamycin..
You can also go for Microdermabrasion and chemical peeling..
