My uric acid hematology reading is 7.6/ . My doctor asked if I was on blood pressure medication (no) and wants me to repeat blood tests for T4 and TSH triglycerides. Is there anything I can address in my diet to lower the uric acid level? Is there a relation between elevated uric acid and Sjogren s Syndrome? I have been diagnosed with a mild case of Sjogren s.
To reduce the uric acid levels you have to avoid non vegetarian food, alcohol, canned food, stored food and pickles. Sjogren's syndrome may not cause elevation of uric acid levels. Eat green leafy vegetables and fruits. Avoid smoking and caffeinated drinks. If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
