Hi i have had a yellow furry tongue for about two years it is getting worse. There are tiny pink spots at the back og my tonhgue. It leaves a horrible taste in my mouth all the time, plus bad breath. I clean my teeth twice a ady, use mouthwash and a tongue scraper, but it never goes away.

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the yellow furry coating over the tongue seems to be yeast infection known as Oral Thrush and it can occur due to a number of conditions like generalized lack of immunity, dry mouth, intake of antibiotics and oral and nasal steroids, diabetes etc..
The pink spots at the back of the tongue seems to be inflamed circumvallate papillae secondary to infection..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in confirming the diagnosis and in case of thrush he can advise you to take anti-fungal medication like Nystatin mouthwash and suck on clotrimazole lozenges for 2 weeks and if still does not resolve oral antifungals like Fluconazole or Itraconazole can be given..
Take ample of probiotics like Yoghurt and garlic..
Do warm saline gargles and chew sugar free chewing gums as it help in stimulating saliva flow..
Avoid antimicrobial mouthwash..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
