Suggest Ways/methods To Deal With Conditions Associated With HPA Axis

I have anumber of conditions that are associated with the HPA axis -such as anxiety, depression, PTSD,insomnia, fibromyalgia, burnout. I want to know what things I can do for myself to get and stay in balance. I am also hypothyroid, have atrial fibrillation and a history of early childhood severe sexual abuse. Everything has gotten worse since one of my adult sons committed suicide three years ago and I lost my job. I am 67 and have a long history of taking good care of myself, but I am so overwhelmed right now I don t know where to start. I have had lots of therapy, am currently in therapy and am a therapist myself. I am uber stressed and really need to get a grip. what can you suggest?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I am sure you are already seeing a Endocrinologist and a Psychiatrist,it would be wise to continue with medication and other advice given by them.Regular exercise, regular healthy meals, spending time with family and friends, long rambling walks, listening to music are all activities which will help you reduce your stress levels.Counselling by your Psychiatrist may be helpful.A vacation may also help reduce stress.
I find this answer helpful
