Suggest Ways To Eliminate The Pain Caused Due To A Collapsed Vertebra

My mother aged 83 yrs is suffering from severe pain in the right leg from Nov 2010. On carrying out MRI it was noticed colllapse verterba at L4 location and cyst in both ovaries. Spine surgeon has suggested medicines methyl cabalamine tablets (vitamin B12), ultra cet (pain killer) and calcium and iron tablets. Even after taken this tablet for 20 days, the pain is not getting reduced. Blood / urine reports are normal. In addition to this mother is also taking medicines for high Blood pressure and panic attack. Kindly suggest what are the other alternates to reduce or eliminate the pain due to collapse verterba L4.
