The dietician has suggested you to increase protein intake in food and to reduce fat content to loose weight.
Taking protein powder will not help to reduce weight.
Protein rich food items are present in vegetarian food also like soyabean, cheese, milk, pulses etc.
The fiber content has also to be increased. Fats and refined carbohydrates need to be reduced.
At the same time, regular
aerobic exercises are also required to lose weight.
Thus, start with exercise and proper diet for weight loos.
In addition, since you have a history of irregular menstrual cycles and
ovarian cyst, I suspect
polycystic ovaries.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome is also one of the causes of weight gain.
Thus, consultation with a gynecologist is also required.
