Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Okay, I can not lose weight. I watch the scale go up 1/2 pound a week and yes I have a thyroid issue but my TSH is a 1.2 right now. I am also completely exhausted as in I can not stay awake all day. I fall asleep if I dare to sit still for a moment. Any idea?
You should consider having your T3 levels done to see if these are okay, some persons have issues with both thyroid hormones (T4 and T3) and need both to be replaced.
In addition, your blood count should be assessed to make sure that you do not have anemia, this is a cause of fatigue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
