Sun Burn Bright Red With Pinpricks, Poky Pain On Legs. What Are They?
I was kayaking for about four hours yesterday and even though I put on sunscreen, I burned. My legs especially are very burned as the kayak was an open one. The places on my legs where I'm sunburned are very bright red, but I noticed that there were little red pinpricks all over them. They almost look like freckles, but are dark red. They are flat against the skin, not raised at all, and they don't itch. But when I walk, the areas with the red pinprick dots on my legs feel like they are being pierced with hundred of tiny needles. They look like what I would imagine broken capillaries or burst blood vessels would look like. What are they? and what can I do to get rid of them?
