Surgeries To Replace Heart Valves With Pig Valves. Have Been Infected. Staph Infection Not Helped. What Can?

my grandaubter has had 3 surgeries to replace all of her heart valves with pigs valves but infection has closed off 2 of the pigs valves and the other 2 have infection in them but are partly functioning. How long can she live. She is in the Hospice Hospital in serious condition. Anti biotics are not attacking the staph infection. She is a drug addict and contracted this bacterial infection from dirty needles. According to her Dr there is no known exact antibiotic for this bacteria in her blood .

Thanks for your question

Infective endocarditis is a malignant condition and it poses even serious life threats in conditions where heart valves has been replaced and a patient is addict.

Patient needs icu care and even urgent surgery if possible

Hope that answers
