Surgery Tomorrow To Solve Snoring Problem. Is It Dangerous ?
hi my husband will make a surgery tomorrow on his nose because he snores too much they said he has extra meat and not a straight bone am afraid for him because they said it is a serıous surgery and he is 34 years old I want to know normally operation time how long is it going to last ? also is it really that much dangerous according to his age ? and finally how many rest days he should have ? thank u
This is the general instruction for septoplasty and turbunoplasty which is the most likely surgery your husband maybe undergoing: 1. It is a fairly straightforward surgery without much difficulty as we learn them in our first years of training itself 2. Some amount of blood loss is expected but do not worry as it is normal 3. The operation time ranges from an hour to one and a half hours or so depending on the skill of the surgeon although even skillful surgeons sometimes take their own sweet time and is thus not a measure of efficacy 4. The recovery period is around three weeks to six weeks 5. At 34 years, this is the right age for this type of surgery as the recovery will be good and the results will be better
all the very best and tell him to sleep well before the surgery
