Surgically Repaired Wrist. Pain And Burning During Cold Climate. Metal In Wrist Causing This?

My husband broke his wrist 3 years ago and had it surgically repaired with metal plates and pins. He is fine for the most part during the summer months. When the temperature starts falling below 50 or so, it starts bothering him with constant aching and burning. The colder it gets, the worse it is. Is this due to the metal in his wrist being cold next to the bone and nerves or is it bone and nerve damage causing the pain?

If the fracture is well united consult your doctor who may think of removing the implants safely. Often wrist joint arthritis is a natural sequaelae to arthritis in the joint.
