Swelling Above The Scar Area Of Myomectomy Area, Hard Ridge On Lower Abdomen. How To Long To Be Ok ?

Hi, I had a myomectomy about 4 mos. ago via bikini/c-section cut, and I still have some swelling just above the scar area (scar itself has healed very well). This "ridge" still feels very hard, yet is tender to the touch at the same time. I've always been very thin, so this ridge looks very awkward on my lower abdomen. I also tried wearing fitted/tight pants just a couple of weeks ago, however it was too much pressure to the area, hence I changed into loose clothes after only ~3 hours. Can you tell me how long it will take for this swelling to go down and not feel "bruised" anymore? Have tried asking my OBGYN, who did an excellent job on the surgery, but is not very communicative on this. Any advice very much appreciated!!

Hi, you had myomectomy 4 months back, stitches healed, ridge feels hard, tender.
It appears that you had incissional hernia, means internal sutures didn't heal up, and intestines herniated. If you lie down on the back for some time and if you feel that the swelling came down, it confirmed hernia. It may need to be operated again, for confirmation, consult a surgeon. thank you.
