Swelling And Pain In Finger, Unable To Move The Finger. History Of Being Bit By Puppy Followed By Slight Bleeding. Serious?
was playing with the puppy about a week and a half ago and he has baby sharp teeth. He bit me round the middle finger of my right hand and drew blood but it was very slight . at the timeit didn't bother me but last week while working cutting down some trees it really swelled up and hurts and I can barely bend that finger .
What measures did you take after the dog bite, with regards to cleaning the wound? Did u take a tetanus shot? Has your puppy been vaccinated for rabies? Was the bite provoked or unprovoked? From your symptoms, I think there might be chances of a slight infection, affecting the middle finger, which can only be assessed visually. In which case, you might need to take a course of antibiotics too, with painkillers. As of now, I would suggest that you take a antiinflammatory tablet like Paracetamol or Ibuprofen, or a combination. And then refer to your ER/ Physician.
Good Luck,
Cheers!
