Swelling And Pain In The Arm After An Injury. Difficulty In Straightening The Arm. Worried
I was riding a bike an went to ramp but it ended up being more like a wall an I feel an caught myself with my arm not much initial pain but that night it swelled to where I could hardly move it since then it's been about 4 days the swelling went away but it still hurts not alot but enough that it's impeding my life an I cant straighten my arm all the way any thoughts on what this could be ???
Such trauma could cause your arm fracture, dislocation, muscle strain. Bone fracture is possible even if you find the symptoms not pointing it. Human body has great ability to immobilize injured part so it can get healed. In all mentioned conditions, splint might be necessary to immobilize your arm. That is why I suggest you to visit your doctor and have simple X-rays of your arm. This will rule out fractures. In case of doubts, orthopedist consult should be helpful.
Hope this will help. Regards.
