Hello. I have something going out, like a swelling . It is in the part that surrounds my eye from the side of the nose . Looks like a spot from the glasses that are really high on the nose but I dont wear any glasses and did not today. Moreover, this spot (like from the glasses) is going right as if is trying to go and surround the eye. However, this does not touch any part of the eye at all.

Hi, thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.
You are suffering from Cellulitis of soft tissue surrounding the eye.
Cellulitis is a severe inflammation of connective tissue spreading through superficial and deeper layers of skin. Common causes are insect bite, blisters or injury to skin and the subsequent bacterial infection.
The area is usually hot and tender (painful). If not attended properly Cellulitis can spread to other areas of body through blood and lymph.
Avoid topical creams and ointments. Also rule out Diabetes.
Antibiotics like Flucloxacillin, Amoxycillin or Cephelexin are useful in the treatment of cellulutis. If pain and swelling is severe then anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen will be useful.
Report to your physician if the condition does not improve within 48 hours after taking these medications.
Regards. Hope I have answered your query.
