Swelling In Legs And Feet, Pain In Feet. Relief From Keeping The Legs Elevated. Have Thyroid And Taking Thyroup Tablet. What Could Be The Reason?
I have thyroid and I'm taking Thyroup 125mg tablet daily. I am 49yrs old female. For the past 3-4 years I have swelling in my right leg & feet and little swelling in my left leg, which becomes less when I'm resting and keep my legs elevated. I have done all the check ups but Doctors have not found anything. Can you please tell me, what could be reason for this swelling and what can be done so that the swelling will go completely. Sometimes I get some pain in the feet.
Bilateral swelling of feet could be because of various reasons. I would suggest you to get done a cardiac evaluation (Echocardiography and ECG), A serum albumin and urie albumin/creat ratio and your TSH level . All these conditions could cause your legs to swell up.
