Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
I understand you are concerned, and I shall try my best to help you with as many details as possible. Starting with an interpretation of your wifes laboratory values:
Uric acid - Normal
Lipid profile:
Total cholesterol- Border high
Triglycerides: Normal
HDL: Normal
LDL: Border high
Conclusion: Normal lipid profile, mild exercise advised (30 mins a day)
Blood urea: Normal
Creatinine: Normal
Sodium: Normal
Potassium: Normal
Chloride: Normal
RA titre: Negative (normal)
The tests are inconclusive and have not helped at all. In my opinion, the tests have not helped at all, and would not have helped much in either case, as they are not really related to her condition.
I would advise the following:
-Check in blood sugar levels
-Check of blood pressure using a 24 monitoring device (Holter's device)
-
Echocardiography to check on heart status
-Doppler
ultrasound of the legs to check on circulation (to check for
venous insufficiency or
lymphedema)
It would help a lot to physically examine your wife and get her medical and family history, this would help in finding the cause. But for the time being please go about the above mentioned tests and visit a doctor or write back to me for any further guidance. My details are mentioned below.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
