Swelling In Right Side Of Face, Tender Roof In Mouth. History Of Bad Tooth, On Amoxicillin For Chest Infection. Side Effect Of Medicine Or Tooth Problem?

Hello i have been on amoxicillin 500mg for 1 week for a chest infection i have since gone back and been prescibed a further weeks course. My right side of my face has swollen up and now feel like i have problems in my mouth verytender in the roof and although i have a bad tooth it doesnt generaly cause me any problems now im unsure if its a side effect from the drug or my tooth

THe swelling of the face could be secondary to a dental/gum infection which will cause swelling of the area.Amoxicillin would not cause such swelling as a side effect.It would help if you get a dental check up done to get to the root of the problem.
