Swollen Foot With Inflammation. Cuticle Exposed. What Can Be Done?
I recently stumped my toe; it was swollen and dark with inflammation. I tried piercing it, inflammation came out but it remained swollen. I went to the doctor who give me cataflan for the pain and inflammation and an antibiotic . The toe was doing well until recently I stumped it again and now the cuticle of my toe ((the inside of it) is actually exposed. what i think maybe tissue is exposed. What should I do?
It will be better if you get treated properly and stop fiddling with your injured toe before it becomes a chronic problem. You should now have your toe get washed and antiseptic applied to clear all dirt and to rule out possibility of germs and infection. Since it re-occurred it will be better for you to take antibiotic injections than oral medications for faster relief from the symptoms you have been complaining.
Do have a blood sugar ( rapid and PP) test done to rule out any type of diabetes. Ideally the wound should have healed but since it is taking time do get it done. You can take a Tetvac injection if need be ( if you have not taken for long) after consultation with your treating doctor.
