Swollen Glands, Spotty Throat. Had Glandular Fever Few Days Ago. Cause Of Symptoms?

Hi I had glandular fever a few months ago but it all clear up and I was finally feeling better. However my glands are swelling and back of my throat feels spotty, best way to describe it is I feel like I got something sitting in the back of my throat...its really annoying! Do you think it is glandular fever again and should I return back to my doctor?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Glandular fever in humans cause acute suppurative infection ( localized in which lymph nodes involve).
It also develops acute pulmonary infection. ( difficulty in breathing)
Localized suppurative infection causes regional lymphadenitis, fever, malaise, prostration.
May develops spleenic abscess, liver abscess.

There is no chance of relapse.
Treatment is very simple and important , but it usually turns into chronic stage as in your case.
So consult a physician and get complete treatment.
Good luck.
