Swollen Lymph Node. Bump On Collar Bone. Are These Related? Cause?

Hello! I have a swollen lymph node on my inner thigh and have an appt. Monday for my doctor to give me the results of my MRI. The nurse called to make me an appt. to come in and discuss my treatment options so that sounds serious to me and I am stressing out. What is the most common cause of a swollen lymph node? Also, this week I noticed another "bump" on my collar bone area. Are they probably related?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You didn't mentioned your age.
Lymph nodes may enlarge in response to superficial distal infection or it may be associated with systemic illness also.
You need proper clinical examination and investigations.
Investigation includes routine hemogram,RBS,Urine RE/ME.
Biopsy of swelling can be done if needed.
You should consult your doctor.
Get well soon.

Take Care
