Swollen, Red , Sore To Touch Lump In Upper Thigh Below Pelvis, Slight Patch Of Red Skin Around. Any Ideas?
I have lump on my upper thigh just below my pelvis. At first I thought it was some sort of cyst or mole since it was painless and not causing any trouble but the other morning I bumped into my piano and I think I must of caught it on something but it seems to have swollen and gone very red. Its sore to touch and a slight patch of skin around it is red. What could it be?
I am sorry to hear about this lump and what happened to it recently.
Lumps are difficult to diagnose without having a look at. The most common cause of lumps on the body is Lipoma. This can only be confirmed through a clinical exam and maybe a test if necessary. For the pains and swelling, pain medications and cold packs will be of great relief.
I will suggest that you connsider meeting with a doctor for accurate diagnosis of this lump and what the various options are. Even a reassurance would be very helpful.
