Swollen Thumb, Pain In The Joint Of The Hand. Broken Bone?
Hi, I think maybe my thumb is broken, not sure and really can't afford to go to hospital if I am just being a baby. My thumb is swelled but not to alot and hurts. Pain mostly in the joint by my hand. But also dull burning and kinda numb. My first finger now also feels stiff and alittle numb. I can move my thumb but it does hurt. Wasnt to worried about it but now with my finger feeling affects thought I would ask someone. Thanks for your time
Hey. Thanks for writing on HCM. I would first like to know how did it get swollen? Did you fall somewhere or get hurt while doing some work? You have pain and swelling at the base of the thumb and you feel stiffness in the index finger. Has the swelling subsided down in last few days? How long has it been? Buy a wrist brace with thumb support and hold your wrist in a tight glass holding position. Also take a tablet chymoral forte and hifenac dp. Dont try and move the thumb for now. Better would be to go to a doctor nearby and get a X ray done and get proper treatment. Hope this helps. take care
