Swollen Tonsils, Hot Flashes, Throat Pain, Mildly Anemic. Endoscopy Shows Tonsil Irritation. Treatment?

Hi, Swollen tonsils, throat pain, awful taste in mouth, hot flushes. I went to ENT two times. They put camera on my throat and find that i have tonsil irritation. But they don t find out anything serious. What should I do? Sometimes I have serious pain on tonsilar node. I did blood test . I am mild anemic. But the doctor said I am anemic because of Hemoglobin E which come from my family.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are most likely suffering from acute bacterial tonsillitis.
You should again consult with treating ENT surgeon and should take complete antibiotics course, anti-inflammatory and decongestants.
You should also perform gargles three times in day with lukewarm water and a pinch of salt.
You should avoid sour, cold drinks, oily food and yogurt.
If your condition won't improve after taking these antibiotic then you should go for surgical treatment.
Take care,
