TTC. Delayed Periods Followed By Long, Heavy Periods With Bright Pink Turned Dark Brown Discharge. Thoughts?
Hi. I was 6 days late on my last period. I finally got it and I noticed it wasn't like the usual ones I have but it did last about 6-7 days. I've been TTC and yesterday I noticed that I had been spotting a bright pinkish color.. I did use a tampon and now I still have it and it's a little bit heavier and a dark brown color. I've never had this before and I'm a little nervous of what could be happening.
Hi, In the current scenario, you should exclude pregnancy by getting the serum beta-hCG assay as urine pregnancy tests may not be of much value. This would give definite conclusion. If negative, you should get investigated for hormonal imbalances as you are trying to conceive. You may need a styptic and hormone supplementation for this cycle to correct the disturbance. Please maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet and avoid stress. Hope this helps. Good luck.
