TTC. Diagnosed With PCOs. Overweight. No Help From IUIs. On Metformin. Advice On Losing Weight

Hello,
I am a 40 year old woman who is overweight and have been trying to conceive for 6 years now. I have been diagnosed with pcos and haven't been able to get pregnant. I have been to a fertility dr-had 3 IUIS with her but had no success. I've tried clomid for a couple of months and have been on metformin for a few months now. Please give me some advise-I know I need to lose weight, but, haven't been able to motivate myself and now I'm really interested.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you are a 40 year female , a high risk for pregnancy.
As you mentioned that you are a P C O D patient .
Three IUI failed , even clomiphene ( clomid ) also yield no result .
As clomid used for stimulation of ovulation , but it seems that either ovulation didn't occurs or not fertilized .
In my opinion study of ovarian follicle is very important as they attain the size fro ovulation or not attain.
So also mention the thickness of endometrium for implantation of fertilized ovum.
As PCOD it self cause weight gain so consult your gynaecologist and take a full treatment of PCOD as metformin acts up to certain extent .
Get in blood for LH / FSH ration .
Upload all reports over this site , thereafter we can evaluate the case for fertility.
Good luck.
