Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have taken estrogen replacement therapy for 21 years since an early hysterectomy and BLO in my early thirties. At 54 I have just gone cold turkey and stopped taking the estrogen, what should I expect in the way of symptoms. I have found I am having a flare up of IBS and cystitis, a few night sweats could these be related to the cessation of the estrogen..
Hi, the IBS, and cystitis need not be related to the estrogen, because the UTI is an infection, and IBS is anxiety related. But both are related with the body resistance may be related to the estrogen . So for confirmation i advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
