Taken Hydrocodone By Accident. Fever, Body Chills. Should Sulfamethoxazole Be Continued?
on saturday i started using sulfamethoxazole twice a day one at 10am and the other one at 10pm, but yesterday i did a mistake and on my second dosage which is at 10pm i took hydrocodon-acetaminophen 5-500 by accident and i woke up with a slight fever and body chills the chills has gone away but the silght fever still there...i was wondering if i could still continue my treatment with sulfamethoxazole?

Hello,
Your fever seem to be viral in nature and not because of HYDROCODONE-ACETAMINIPHEN combination.You can continue your treatment with sulfamethoxaxole.You may take paracetamol for fever,as and when required.
Paracetamol can be taken every 4-6 hours,if required with maximum of 6 tablets in a day.
