Taken Protonix For Itchy White Spots On Arms, Stomach, Back And Buttocks. Do I Need A Blood Test?

hi dr.Samuel im a 48 year old women, ive been itching for about 2 and a half months now. Some times it a little and sometimes its a lot exspecially at work. i have something look like tiny little white circle spots on my arms stomach and back and medium circle white spots on buttocks that notice with itching. ive done everything i thought i could, but no going away. i have to take protonix off and on for reflux that got bad with it and i have a tiny soft bump behind one of my ears. Ive been to Dr.s and had many of blood work done that came back normal. What can you tell me please.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

You seem to be rither having a condition called pityriasis versicolor caused by fungus. If there are a lot of white spots, consult a dermatologist and get oral anti fungals like itraconazole prescribed, and if they are not too many apply 1% terfinafine cream over it. Take oral anti allergics like cetrizine/ loratadine to relieve the itching.
