Taken Tetanus Shot And Antibiotic For Injury From Nail. White Knot At Cut, Pains With Pressure. What To Do?
Hi doc i got a nail through my workboot at 1:00 pm. could not get to doctor till next morning at 7:00 am. He gave me tetnus shot and antibiotic. took it till finished. now i have white knot at nail entrance and hurts with pressure. oh ya nail went in about 3/4 of an inch. what to do at home i have no insurance. thank you for any help. darryl

thanks for writing here.
It seems you have got ingrown toe nail with infection.
Continue with your antibiotics.Start soaking your affected finger in warm salt water two to three times daily.Apply antibiotic cream like mupirocin over affected area.This will help in reducing swelling and infection .
But ingrown nail has to be removed for which you need to consult a doctor.
