Takes Doxycycline HYC For Staff Infection After Hip Replacement, Has Dizziness, Nausea. Is It Side Effect ?

My 89 year old mother takes Doxycycline HYC cap 100 mg after having developed a staff infection from a hip replacement around 2011. She takes this medication once every twelve hours.....she does have the dizziness and nausea...she has for take this for the rest of her life.....also wants to know how much It will compromise her immune system and can she take magnesium with it...it seems to be causing blood ulcers on her legs...very severe
on the leg that has the hip replacement and they are black, sometimes the ooz water with some blood...the sores are extremely painful....cannot seem to get an answer from her doctors as to what is causing what...any thoughts? She also just found out she has a blood clot in the hip leg and the docs have out her on cumadin....what side affects will that have

Hello.Dizziness and nausea can be caused for Doxycycline.She has not take that drug rest of her life,only until the infection was resolved.She can take magnesium with it.Blood ulcers can be related to drugs injected after
hip replacement to prevent thrombosis but ulcers must be controlled by your doctor.I wish you good health.
