Taking Albuterol, Flonase For Cough. Have Heaviness, No Fever. Blood Test Normal

I have had a chest cough for 25 days. I am on albuterol, flonaise, claratin, Prilosec and recently prednisone 10mg for 3 days but I still have the chest heaviness and chest cough. no fever, chest x-rays were clear and all blood work came back normal. The very little mucas that has come up from the lungs.. maybe 4 times in the past month, has been hard white and very tacky. I sleep fine and all through the night it is when I get up I start to cough

Hi

Thank for asking.

cough which is worse at night with very little sputum production especially if it is not abating even after taking a good dose of broncho dilators can be because of cardiac conditions.

orthopnea is the term coined for the breathless at night when the patient sleeps and it is severe enough to awaken the patient .

you probably needs your heart assessed for the signs of left heart failure along with reduced ejection fractions.

Thanks.
