Taking Beta Blockers, Metoprolol For Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy. Can Passiflora Also Be Taken?

I am considering taking Passiflora incarnata (Passion Flower),200mg., 3X daily. I already take beta blockers, metoprolol trartrate 50mg/2X daily, prescribed last fall for my hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. I wonder if there is a drug interaction that I should be concerned with.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Gloria,
I would like to know is passiflora prescribed? Do you have insomnia problem?
Beta blockers which you are taking for your HOCM may not interfere with passiflora, although there is no such study made as for as I know. You can safely take both.
Wish you good health.
Regards.
