Taking Flucloxacillin For Infection In Laparoscopy Entrance Site. Getting Heartburn. Side Effect Of Tablet?
I'm taking flucloxacillin 500mg 4 times a day for an infection in laproscopy entrance site in belly button. I'm getting really bad heartburn after taking them, so bad it's waking me up at night. I no I have no problem with the valve as this has all been checked for other reasons. is this a side effect of the tablets? As it's not listed on the leaflet
Thanks for query on hcm. It is called drug induced gastritis. You have to inform your doctor for this symptom. Your doctor will review your medicines and add medicine for gastritis. Otherwise you have to take rebeprazole/pentoprazole with domperidone. Antacid liquid will be helpful. Take antibiotic with some food or milk. Avoid oily,spicy,heavy food during medications. Drink more liquids. Keep in touch with your doctor.
