Taking Xtracal-CT Tablet Daily, Experiencing Dry Cough, Throat Irritation, Stomach Disturbance. Are These Side Effects Of Calcium Tablet?

For calcium deficiency i(My Age - 59) am taking Xtracal-CT tablet daily(one tablet per day). After taking this tablet i m experiencing dry cough , throat irritation and sometimes stomach disturbance. Can i suspect these as side effects of this calcium tablet? If yes then which could be the alternative for this tablet? And is there any way to add/consume calcium in my daily diet through vegetables/fruits - will it provide enough calcium(considering my age 59)?

Yes. Definitely these are side effects of calcium tablet. These are ought to happen once a person is started on calcium tablets. There is no need to take any medication for these symptoms. They will come down as the days pass. You need to take calcium supplements as dietary sources have less calcium.
