Taking Apple Cider Vinegar For Severe Heart Burn. Natural Remedies?
Hi! :) I'm a 34 year old female having severe heartburn. For the past couple of months I have been taking apple cidar vinegar to help regulate heavy menses. While my PMS symptoms have improved and having lighter periods, I am now suffering with raw burning stomach pain. I drink raw milk and have resorted to taking tums, the pain returns after a couple of hours. Note: I have ceased the ACV for now! Is there something natural I can take to ease my stomach pain while the lining in my stomach recovers? Thanks in advance! Lisa in Canada
Hi, Thanks for posting your query. You have acidity/reflux related issues. Medications like ranitidine and omeprazole are very effective in providing relief and these are very safe. But since you have specifically asked for natural remedy - do the follow things. 1. Avoid citrus, coffee, chocolate, fatty food, spicy food, onion, tomato 2. Eat smaller frequent meals 3. Go to bed at least 2-3 hours after food. 4. Avoid tight fitting clothes. I hope that answers your question. Regards Dr.Ratnakar Kini
