Taking Carvedilol, Lisinopril For High Blood Pressure. Experiencing Tingling, Numbness In Toes. Side Effect?
Hello! I began taking meds for high blood pressure about six months ago. My most recent combination (after a few minor tweaks) is currently 12.5 mg. carvedilol combined with 20 mg. lisinopril (half of each taken in a.m., half in p.m.). Within the last three weeks I have been experiencing tingling and numbness in my toes. I visited my dr. for this specific reason; she saide "Don't worry about it". It is worrisome, however - should I be concerned? Thank you.
Hello, Tingling and numbness in toe scan be caused by various reasons like.. Metabolic diseases like diabetes and hypothyroidism and gout Excessive use of drugs like metrogyl, isonex, fluoroqinones, statins etc Excessive use of alcohol Deficiency of VIT B12 Ill fitting shoes etc Ideally you should be investigated for the cause so that a proper treatment can be instituted. Anti hypertensive drugs you are taking are unlikely to cause this numbness and tingling. Thanks
