Teenager. Bruising And Rashes On Inner Thighs, Painful To Walk, Mild Bleeding In Bruises. Any Ideas?
My 18 year old daughter within the last month has unexplained brusing on her upper and inner thighs and they are pretty large bruises. She is also getting rashes which she thought maybe the bruises were from her scratching in her sleep. I told her there was no way she could bruise like that from itching due to she does not bruise easily. She text me at 4:30am this morning and said she had a another rash between her legs which this one is bad she said she can hardly walk and she is walking funny because her legs can't touch she said it hurts really bad and that is wet and moist and in some of the places it looks like it is bleeding, I thought that maybe it might be s best rash due to we went to the flea market yesterday and it was really hot and we all were sweating like crazy and her legs rub together. But that does not explain the other bruising and rashes. Please help and tell me you have a answer cause it is really starting to worry me. Thank you

Such types of bruising on upper and inner thighs without any history of local injury may suggest some underlying disease which needs a thorough investigation.
The common causes for such bruises could be bleeding or clotting disorders like haemophilia or thrombocytopenia.
Other somewhat rare causes could include
Leukemia
Lymphomas
Liver diseases
Purpua simplex etc.
Since treatment would depend upon finding the exact cause,you must consult your doctor as early as possible.
