Teenager. Irregular And Heavy Periods Since 2 Months. Safe To Start With Pill To Regularise Periods?

I'm a 16 year old girl, every time I get my period I write it down in my Calender so I know when I'm due for my next one, I've never had problems with them they use to be on time and only last 3-4 days but the last couple of months I have been getting them all over the place sometimes I can get them 2 weeks before I'm due or a week late. and they are lasting about 6 days and they can be really heavy. I'm thinking about going on the pill for it so that I don't get them ? is that safe?

Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. You can try mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid tablets for decresing the menstrual flow, rather than going for pills. Kindly consult your OBGY specialist for a prescription.
