Teenager. Lump With Dark Shade On Outer Edge With Slightly Lighter Shade In Centre. No Pain. Using Hydrocortisone Ointment. Suggest
My 15 year old daughter has a lump on her the back of her neck. I have taken her to our GP beginning of August and he has given her Hydrocortisone ointment which we have been using twice a day. I had taken a picture of it and on inspection today it's appearance is the same. She said that it isn't painful. She is white and black carribean and the lump has a darker shade on the outer edge, slightly lighter in the centre.
Hi, it appears to be a lipoma, with bacterial infection, or oosing blood inside the fatty tissue. I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. She may need to have color doppler, for confirmation. Surgery is only option for her to get rid of . Plastic surgeon can make surgery with out a scar. Thank you.
