Hello, thanks for using HCM.
Normal menstrual cycle lasts within 21 to 35days. Abnormal menses can be quite annoying and a call for concern. In adolescent girls, the main cause is an immaturity of the hormonal axis from the brain to the ovaries that controls ovulation. This usually results to a failure of the ovary to release an egg and consequently the corpus luteum (a body which forms after egg release) does not form. As a result, estrogen is continuously secreted thereby maintaining the uterine lining and no menses occurs. This condition is term anovulatory cycles and can be associated with heavy bleeds and inter-menstrual bleeds. it is typical in adolescence within 1-5 years after their first menses. Stress and physical exercises can also cause abnormal menses.
General, when the hormonal axis matures, cycles become normal. However, you could see a gynecologist to rule out the possibility of other causes and to be re-assured.
You need to see an obstetrician and gynecologist doctor with your parents for your problems. I recommend that you do so immediately and let your parents know so that they or your legal guardians can accompany you.
Take care and have a good day !
