I am a 26 year old Caucasian male, 165 lbs. I have no significant medical history or family history. I have a concern about a tender lump behind my right nipple. Comparing the right areola to the left reveals an obvious difference. The lump and tenderness came about a couple of months ago and has not improved or gone away. What should I do?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. May be mastitis ( inflammation of breast , male or female). Cause may be due to ill-fitting braces. If cause is removed ,symptoms disappear within short period. Those who carries heavy weight over their shoulders may also prone to this type of mastitis. Gynaecomazia as, -cause is not known, hormonal imbalance, associated with leprosy, associated with portal hypertension, carcinoma. Consult a physician /surgeon and get in their opinion with complete examination as physical examination is very important. Hope I have answered your question. If further any question I will help. GOOD LUCK. Dr. HET
