Tender Lump On Cheekbone, Numbness, Slight Swelling. No History Of Any Injury. Any Ideas?
I have a lump (or knot kinda feeling) on my cheek bone. it has been tender for a few days and now is about 1.5 inches in diameter. I have not been hit in the face nor have I done anything to my face to injure myself. its K map within a couple of days now it's getting kind of like a numbing feeling like if you ever got punched in the face that type of feeling. it does have swelling with that however there's no mark as it would be with a pimple or blemish. pencil or a blemish
Hello, Thanks for writing in. WIth your information on the swelling, it looks like a fast growing (by what you have said) and is most likely of infective origin. Please do not wait for it to enlarge further. Please consult a surgeon soon and take medicines. If you ignore that, it can become an abscess. Do feel your self for any fever. Hope this helps.
