Tenderness Behind The Right Knee, With Brown Bruise. Is This Sprained Due To Heavy Workouts?
Hi, I ve been working out diligently for the last three weeks and I run a mile every night, 6 days a week. I noticed yesterday that I had some tenderness on the outside tendon behind my right knee and by the evening time it had developed into a pretty brown bruise . This morning my hamstring has felt a bit tight and the spot is still sore. Could I have sprained something and not realized it?
Hi Dear Welcome to the Health Care Magic Dear friend recently you have started strenuous activity. It is very common that with sudden overenthusiastic exercise your muscles get soar. Exercises should be started slowly and to be gradually increased so that muscle, tendons and body vitals get acclimatized for the exertion. Probably your tendon has got torn off which is showing bruise, this will heal with time, You also require some analgesic and inflammatory drug along with some physiotherapy.Better you rest for a week or so and then gradually you start the workup. Hope your query is answered. Thanks
