I was sent to a and e yesterday as i have been having terrible dull aching in my gut and strain in the top of my back. All blood tests were clear and was sent home diagnosed with gastritis.Didnt realise gastritis could be this bad! No matter what painkillers i take...they are not helping.i constantly feel sick but nothing coming up and have had this for 3 days now.i havent opened my bowels for 2 days..but the day before.they were type 3.so normal.i havent eaten in 2 days.i feel like theres something there in my gut.its awful and putting a lot of strain on my back at the top.Im also constantly having butterflies in my belly.Thats as much as i can describe it really.please help!
yes, i suggest to look inton your investigations first, if they do not favour the panreatitis i.e. serum amylase and lipase level than get done upper gut endoscopy/ gastroscopy to r/o duodenal ulcer. because such a severe pain is not relared to gastritis alone. moreso ever you are having costipation and if it happed in past too than have some stool softner along with ppi and prokinetiks i.e. tab RAZO-L once a day along with syp lactihep 20 ml hs.
all the best
